A wide or bulbous tip of the nose is a common concern for patients seeking rhinoplasty in Dr. Fechner's plastic surgery practice.
In this video, dual-board certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Fechner outlines how he approaches these problems using his "incision-less" closed rhinoplasty technique.
For more information, visit
The hidden incisions inside the nose allows Dr. Fechner to gain access to the tip cartilages, aka lower lateral cartilages. because these cartilages are commonly large and bulky, he will trim them a little bit. Dr. Fechner stresses the importance to avoid removing too much of the precious cartilages as they are crucial to maintain support and shape of the nose.
Next, the tip cartilage shape will be changed using internal stitches. The goal of this maneuver is to narrow the tip for a more elegant tip. The sutures are long-lasting but, once healing has secured the new shape of the nose, they will eventually disappear.
Sometimes, small cartilage grafts are used for final touches.
Dr. Frank Fechner is a double board certified facial plastic surgeon serving Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
His practice is located in Worcester, MA. All nasal plastic surgery is performed in his private surgical center.

How long did it take you to see the results? In my case they removed cartilage from the tip of my nose, I’m 1 month post my surgery and I still see my nose wide and bulbous as before

Here , everyone made so many videos on any other surgeries without mentioning any cost any details regarding about that surgery…
We were watched alot of videos like this, but no body discuss about what to do about cost, area, hospital, place, time etc

@Lil smackaroo right now I’m 6 months post op and I hardly see any difference, my nose still bulbous on the front view and I’m considering to have a revision rhinoplasty.
I recommend you to choose a surgeon that specializes in bulbous tip, thick skin and see the before and after of his patients specifically in the front view.

@Ashish yeah just tip…I have cartillage aded to my tip too. If surgeon go against it ask why and what kind of enhancement you would need to become more aesthetic…Most of the time you think a certain procedure will make you more beautiful but in reality you need a different one.. So I think it is better if you ask the surgeon.

@itsuki uehara hey I really want this typa nose surgery but I’m scared of picking the wrong surgeon, someone who doesn’t specialize in asian noses. I’ve heard even ones with decades of experience still mess it up.
      How’d u trust a surgeon?
