As a nurse, nice work Dr. Karam. A true comparison would be to have the patient without makeup due to the fact that it can camouflage the final results.

@Aflashofreality If a doctor wants his “sell” to be credible, that’s the only way. Otherwise, your potential clients question everything. Because of the after photos being this person completely made up, I will not be reaching out for a consultation because I do not trust this doctor. Simple enough?
@Aflashofreality wrong. The doctor INSTRUCTS the patient to not wear makeup for the after photo or a photo does not get taken. period.

Almost every comment is saying no makeup on the after picture, and I agree. If you are confident on your surgery, then you wouldn’t mind showing the after, sans makeup.

Exactly. She is wearing a lot of makeup. She was pretty before the surgery, in my opinion. And plastic surgery doesn’t make a person more youthful, just makes a person look more youthful. We age gracefully by eating right, exercising, NOT smoking, and not drinking to excess. Genetics 🧬🧬🧬 helps, too!

@Lisa Johnson, no, I’m saying the point is dumb. You can’t get those results with JUST makeup so demanding a makeupless end pic is dumb. The before is bare and the after is after surgery, good lighting, and great makeup application. She probably wears makeup all the time, so it isn’t like she doesn’t look like that. So no – I didn’t miss the point – you did.

She looks amazing…regardless of the makeup you can see she has a heart shaped face and smooth undereyes….I am a makeup artist and there is no amount of makeup that can make that happen!! Beautiful work Dr Karam!!
@wmnoffaith1 It is shocking that a child asked you how old you were when you had your son (especially because through a child’s eyes, all adults look old). That sounds like a kid who has been listening to the grownups gossiping about other parents…
No amount of makeup will give you a heart shaped face, sure, but a filter will. It superimposes the facial characteristics of a beautiful famous person over yours. The results are invariably gorgeous, though it can make you almost unrecognisable.

@청ずらたん Thank you for your kind words. I do use moisturizers, retinol, etc. and wear makeup, but it isn’t enough. (I don’t use filters on my pictures or any of that). I feel ok with how I look; my only wish is that my son wasn’t ashamed of my age/looks. The first question his best friend asked me when I met him was how old I was when I had my son. Honestly, you would think I looked 100. Most people say I don’t even look 40, but to my son and his friends, I guess I look old, esp. compared to his stepmother. Thank you again for your really nice reply.
@wmnoffaith1 I really do feel sorry for your situation and that of people everywhere. It’s really painful to read your comment. I hope that medicine will eventually be able to overcome the curse of having to look relentlessly uglier and uglier (and become sicker and sicker) with each passing year. It’s really a nightmare, and nobody is exempt from having to go through it. I really really feel sorry.

Makeup can make even a ugly person look pretty
She selected the right surgeon and appropriate surgeries. Everyone hating on this woman’s makeup, hair, photo lighting is perplexing.

He is a genius at manipulating photos and not waiting for the swelling to resolve in order to take after photos.
Not just the makeup, she has more flattering lighting in the “after” photo.
Face tune photo filter. She suddenly has no pores. C”mon get real.
They always do that by changing the colour temperature of the photo usually shot first under fluorescent lights

I have had a facelift and you can tell a lot of difference in the after. Even though she has makeup on you can tell her lower face is lifted. Her eyes and her cheeks. Of course makeup makes you look a lot different but my before and after without makeup was dramatic. It changed my life.

Were all of the procedures done during one surgery? How long does it take to heal from all of those procedures & how many follow-up visits are required? I live in Florida.
WOW!! With or without make-up what a outstanding result. I need everything you did for Niki!! She looks fantastic. I have gone through a stressful 15 months. Am always complimented on my skin, but things just don’t look the same.
The “after” is Hi Def Professional, theatrical make up. I was with ya’ Doc until I saw this. A surgical Before and after is not time for glamour photos.
How unfair that just as we are becoming our wisest and best selves so much of our bodies lose it. How wonderful that some women can afford to bring justice into their lives in this way. Maybe someday I will too!

I myself like seeing the total final effect with makeup. I can discern the changes and I like to see what the doctor and patient were shooting for. Definitely upturned outer eyes now and no puffiness at all. Upturned youthful mouth, and just look at that smooth chin and face contour. Great job! Especially like that it is not fake looking.
